Phoenix Area Skydiving is a member of the United States Parachute Association. This is a volunteer membership for skydiving companies that want to improve there safety and skill level. Our dropzone employs two designated Safety and Training Advisors for the USPA. This will help us in creating a safe dropzone for you to jump at. Tandem skydiving is regulated by the FAA just like the planes that fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor. We follow all Federal Aviation Regulations regarding tandem jumping and flying and you will be able to relax and enjoy your jump based on the safety we provide. We have a working relationship with the local FAA office and our aircraft has been inspected by three different FAA Officials during surprise inspections. All three inspections were passed with considerable ease as our aircraft are well maintained.. Phoenix Area Skydiving uses Dual Hawk Strong Parachute Systems made by Strong Enterprises. Ted Strong was the original inventor of the tandem system and he continues to manufacture and inspect the tandem systems and train instructor/examiners. You will find that Strong Enterprises gives more attention to safety than anyone in the industry.
